Over $650,000 Raised at 2023 Buckles & Bangles Gala!
UMOM New Day Centers hosted their 14th annual Buckles & Bangles Gala on Friday, October 13th and is pleased to announce that over $650,000 was raised for the organization.
“It takes a lot of people working together to put on this magnificent event. I want to express my gratitude to our board of directors and the Buckles and Bangles committee, especially our event chair, Kristen Campbell and co-chairs Candy Schwarz and Maria Dillon,” said CEO Jackson Fonder.
Funds were raised through a silent auction as well as a live auction and paddle raise hosted by America’s foremost “Auctiontainer”, Letitia Frye.
“The fundraising goal for this event was $500,000 and the generosity and support of our sponsors, attendees & community will make a massive impact on our mission to end family homelessness in the Valley,” said UMOM Chief Development Officer Colette Black.
Attendees heard the story of Nicole, a former UMOM participant who has since bought her own home and begun working in outreach and ministry. With her, was daughter Natalia who at 16 is already enrolled in college classes, learning construction, and volunteers doing outreach.
