Navigating Workforce Development in the Digital Age

On the debut of “Leading in the Moment”, a new segment of “It Happens at STN”, UMOM’s CEO Jackson Fonder and COO Monique Lopez joined a panel discussion on what’s behind Arizona’s labor shortage and how to fix it.

Fonder and Lopez, along with Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley CEO Marcia Mintz and USAA Regional Site Director Patrick Fitzhugh, focused their discussion on two strategies: internal workforce development, and an earlier start to workforce training. With companies implementing systems for the internal development of existing employees and a societal shift to developing job skills at an earlier age, Arizona’s labor shortage could come to an end.
