About the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit
When you donate to UMOM, a 501(c)(3) organization, you help prevent and end homelessness while generating a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on your state income tax up to $421 in 2023 if filing an individual tax return or $841 if filing jointly.
In 2024, the maximum QCO credit donation will increase to $470 for single, married filing separate or head of household; $938 married filing joint.
UMOM’s Qualifying Charitable Organization Code is 20541. Donors are required to use this code when taking the tax credit on their income tax returns.
The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) offers an excellent Q & A on the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit Law (ARS 43-1088) that will help you better understand how the tax credit program works.
You can also call ADOR’s Taxpayer Assistance hotline at 602-255-3381 or 800-352-4090.
