A Message from UMOM New Day Centers
Dear UMOM Family and Friends,
The health and well-being of the UMOM family – residents, staff, donors, volunteers – has always been and continues to be our number one priority.
After much consideration and with social respect for our community, UMOM has decided to change spring fundraising events and postpone volunteer activities as an effort to help stem the tide in this ever-changing environment.
Although necessary, these decisions are difficult because of the profound impact on everyone involved. We have confidence in doing the right thing because we care deeply about each member of the UMOM family and in turn, we know our supporters care deeply about UMOM and our mission to ending homelessness.
- UMOM Fundraising Event Changes:
– April 3, 2020: The Ending Homelessness Breakfast will now be a virtual event. Details coming your way soon.
– April 18, 2020: The 12th Annual Walk the Walk to End Homelessness has been rescheduled for September 19, 2020. We look forward to seeing you this fall at our world record-breaking Walk to End Homelessness Event.
- UMOM Volunteer Activity:
– All volunteer activities will be suspended immediately until further notice. When safe to do so, existing meal service schedules will resume, and canceled volunteer events will be rescheduled.
UMOM is genuinely grateful for the support of this community and wants you to know that we need you now more than ever. Despite this evolving COVID-19 situation, we’re still focused on our mission of being responsive and committed to the needs of the most vulnerable in out community – families, single women, and youth experiencing homelessness and we need your help providing protection and provisions.
