COVID-19 Community Update

Dear UMOM Family,

As we continue learning how to live our day-to-day lives amidst COVID-19, we wanted to let you know that all of our emergency shelters are still open and operating. Our goal is to keep our community safe, healthy, and off the streets. We are still doing intakes for families and individuals, as UMOM is considered an essential service provider in the community.

Collectively, we are serving more than 800 family members, single women, and youth who need your support now, more than ever. We’re asking for your assistance during this unprecedented time of need. Below is a list of items that we need right now:

1. Toilet paper

2. Diapers

3. Laundry detergent

4. Hygiene items

You can drive by and drop off these donations at our main campus. Additionally, you can support these families, women, and youth, by visiting our Amazon wish list where you can make a virtual purchase or make a donation online. We’re so grateful for your support toward ending homelessness today, and always. None of this would be possible without you.

Our community relies on your compassion; thank you.

With gratitude,

Darlene Newsom, Chief Executive Officer
